Privacy Statement KeepMeasure
Last updated: August 6, 2026
Maathouder is an app to track your daily intake of fluids, salt, sugar, and fiber. This statement explains what data the app processes, why, and what rights you have. Maathouder is not a medical device and does not make diagnoses.
1. Who is responsible
Bas van den Heuvel St. Antonielaan 233, 6821 GH Arnhem Contact: info {at} maathouder.nl
Bas van den Heuvel is the data controller for data processing within the KeepMeasure app. The app is offered by goed3d.nl.
2. Which data the app processes
2.1 Your records (fluid, salt, sugar, fiber)
What you enter in the app is saved on your own device. You do not need an account or a password.
In the Pro version, you can synchronize between devices. Only then are your registrations sent to our server, so that you can view them on your phone and tablet. This data is linked to your license key, not to your name or email address. Therefore, we cannot see who the data belongs to.
The free version does not synchronize. In that case, all your registrations remain exclusively on your own device.
2.2 Anonymous usage statistics (only with consent)
If you grant permission for this in the app, Maathouder collects anonymous usage data: a randomly generated installation number, the app version, the platform (e.g., Android or iPhone), your language setting, and the screen size. Additionally, we anonymously track how often the app is opened via Google Analytics.
These statistics are turned off by default. Nothing is collected until you choose to turn them on yourself. You can change your choice at any time in Settings. We never see what you enter regarding fluids, salt, sugar, or fiber, and the statistics do not contain a name, email address, or other data that can be traced back to you.
2.3 License and payment
If you purchase a Pro license, the order and payment are processed via the webshop at goed3d.nl. Your name, email address, and payment details are processed there. This is described in the privacy statement of goed3d.nl: https://goed3d.nl/privacy-policy/. This customer data is separate from your anonymous registrations in the app.
3. Why we process this data
We process your registrations to make the app work and, in the Pro version, to enable synchronization between your devices. The basis for this is the performance of the agreement you enter into with the Pro license, and your own choice to provide that data.
We process the anonymous usage statistics to see if and how often the app is used, so that we can improve it. The basis for this is your consent, which you give in advance and can withdraw at any time.
4. Health data
Your registrations regarding fluid, salt, sugar, and fiber can reveal something about your health. We handle this data with care. You enter this data yourself, it remains on your own device by default, and during synchronization, it is linked only to a license key and not to your identity. We do not sell, rent, or share this data with third parties, nor do we use it for advertising or profiling.
5. With whom we share data
For synchronization in the Pro version, our servers run at VDX, with data centers in Alblasserdam and Amsterdam. The data therefore remains within the Netherlands and the EU.
We use Google Analytics for the anonymous counting of app opens, and only if you have given permission for this.
For ordering and payment of the Pro license, data is processed via the webshop at goed3d.nl and the payment service Mollie. See the privacy statement of goed3d.nl.
We never sell personal data to third parties.
6. How long we retain data
You keep your registrations on your own device for as long as you want. You can delete them in the app at any time.
We store synchronized data on our server for as long as you use the app with synchronization. If you would like us to delete your synchronized data, please send an email with your license key to info {at} maathouder.nl, and we will delete it from our server.
Anonymous usage statistics in Google Analytics are retained for a maximum of two months.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correction, deletion, and restriction of your data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent. Because synchronized data is linked solely to your license key, we require that key to process a request. Please send requests to info {at} maathouder.nl
You can withdraw your consent for usage statistics yourself at any time in the app, under Settings.
If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
8. Security
We take appropriate measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and limited access to the server. No system is completely without risk, but we do our best to keep your data safe.
9. Data breaches
In the event of a data breach, we act in accordance with the GDPR: notification to the Dutch Data Protection Authority where necessary, and information to data subjects in case of high risk.
10. Changes
We may amend this privacy statement. The current version is always available at maathouder.nl/privacy.
